How do you show love?

By supporting and encouraging someone, and helping them achieve their goals? Or by standing in their way, holding them down, and making everything they want to do more difficult?

How do you show love to yourself?
It may seem obvious, but this is the counter-intuitive relationship we have developed with food and fitness: the idea that “self-care” involves short term indulgence and the denial of consequences (like binging 6 hours of Netflix while eating a pint of ice cream washed down with a bottle of wine); rather than building the foundation for a lifetime of physical and emotional health and energy.

You are what you eat. It’s true – what you put in determines what you get out; both literally and figuratively. Eat accordingly.
